Summer with Me
People ask me, "Gee Aram, where did you learn how to cook?", or "Damn Aram, where did you learn those moves?"
Well, the cooking started with my mother and then grew as I travelled from Hawaii to Minneapolis, Minneapolis to Italy, Italy to Korea and then back again, where I am now studying interaction design in Ivrea. The dancing... well, some try to blame it on the hula but who knows for sure. It probably has something to do with the fortitude of Piedemonte wines.
If that wasn't your question, please write me and I will answer happily.
This is my first year at Interaction Design Institute Ivrea. This website contains the work I have done here in the areas of interface design, tangible computing, and service design. My earlier interactive, design and media work can be found at thefarwest.net.
I am looking for an internship outside of the schengen states. Offers from the US, UK, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, South Korea, or Japan are very welcome. If I didn't mention your country by name, please don't feel left out. I'd like to hear from you too!
I offer you my hardened skills of prototyping for screen and video, as well as an inhibition towards bodystorming and a fertile imagination... as one partner said of me, "I don't think he's ever seen the box."
I am interested in companies and research institutes in fields related to interaction design, especially those breaking new ground in gaming, narrative, and services.
Sincerely,
Aram Saroyan Armstrong
